INS, who have featured before on this blog through their relationship to a local robotics company, are being taken oven buy Babcock International. Babock are one of those companies which you never really pin down what they actually do. They are profitable and expanding. Indeed in the time taken to write this blog entry, Babcock's share price has risen by 3pm. Broadly they supply technical expertise to the private and public sectors, including the defence industry. They also operate manufacturing concerns in South Africa and Texas. They purchased 25% of INS in January and now have made a move for the remaining shares. What this means for the local labour force remains unclear.
